GMMA location in Metastock 10.1
G'day
I have recently bought MetaStock EOD10.1 and although I have read in several places on guppytraders.com that the GMMA comes as a pre-installed
indicator with Metastock , I cant for the life of me find it. I've tried looking in the Indicator Quicklist (naturally) under Daryl Guppy MMA, Guppy
MMA, MMA, etc. I have even looked in the expert dialog with no greater success.
Have I missunderstood something, am I searching for it in Metastock with the wrong name? Would someone mind pointing out where I might find it?
I thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Regards
David

Hello Legion
You know who Legion is - like in the Bible, Mark 5:9 (no, I'm neither Christian, nor religious - I just remember the occasional interesting story,
especially when I can draw parallel between present cicumstances and said stories) - for you are many. Many are the times the GMMA location in
MetaSTock 10.1 posting had been viewed; I presume not repeatedly by the same person. But none has deigned to offer any advice on the matter. Does
not a single sole use the GMMA in MetaStock? What a sorry state!
I've just started reading the 10th anniversay edition of Daryl Guppy's Share Trading. In the preface on page X, he had the following to say in
relation to how the growth of the internet allows a particular type/style of sharing of knowledge and experience, which "...has permitted the
development of a particular characteristic in the community of private traders and investors that is absent from institutional investment community.
This is the capacity and willingness to share ideas, information, techniques, tactics and experience. This sharing contributes to the success of all
participants in the market." Now this is all very well and good, but had I not heard it from Daryl, I certainly would not have guessed it from the
response I received from this forum. Now that I know the answer from Daryl, it certainly wouldn't have taken much for a in-the-know MetaStock user
to set me straight. What should I understand from this? Res ipsa loquitor.
For those of you who don't know, and thus couldn't advise, the response to my enquiry is as follows:
Open a chart in Metastock . Right click on the chart and bring up TEMPLATES. Locate the Daryl Guppy MMA. This will show the chart display. I prefer
to use this as a default template. (D.Guppy)
I wish you, Legion, all the best in your altruistic endeavours.
Regards
David
